Call for Abstracts

Sri Jai Narain Misra P.G. College, Lucknow is happy to announce the International Conference on ‘Population and Development: Navigating Challenges and Exploring Opportunities’ in association with ‘Sociology of Population’ (RC-41) of International Sociology Association, ‘Social Demography’ (RC-18) of Indian Sociological Society (ISS) & Circle for Child and Youth Research Co-operation in India (CCYRCI) to be held during 18-20 November, 2024.

We are inviting abstracts of paper for both oral and poster presentations for thematic sessions, abstract for panel discussions and symposia submissions on the following sub-themes:

  1. Population, Health, and Well-being: From Global North to Global South
  2. Urbanization and Urban Growth: Changing Landscape of population settlements
  3. Population and Sustainable Development Goals
  4. Demographic Transition in the Global South
  5. Climate Change and its Impact on Population
  6. Women’s Empowerment, Gender Inequality, and Population Growth
  7. Migration, Population and Development
  8. Human Rights and Population Policies
  9. Sources of Population Data: Report and Development
  10. Aging Population, Health and Well-being
  11. Child and Youth Indicators: Challenges and Prospects
  12. Lessons from COVID-19 Experience
  13. Any Other (Related to the theme of the conference)

Important dates for Abstract Submission:

  • Call for Abstracts starts from May 1, 2024
  • Call for Abstracts ends on Oct 27, 2024
  • Notification of formal acceptance of abstracts by Oct 30, 2024
  • Submission of Full paper byNov 15, 2024
  • Registration starts from Aug 1, 2024

Instructions for Abstract Submissions

  • Abstracts of 300 words (maximum) and final paper must be submitted only online at https://icpd2024.com/
  • Any queries related to the abstract or the conference can be raised only via email at icpd2024@gmail.com
  • Abstracts will be selected on the following criteria

A) Connection of the title to themes of the conference
B) Conceptual clarity of the abstract
C) Methodological application in the abstract

Guidelines for Submission of Full Papers

  • Follow the mentioned order when typing the manuscript: Title, Authors, Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, Acknowledgements, Appendix and References.
  • Abstract should be of 300 words and full paper should not exceed 3000 words
  • The manuscript must be typed, 1.5 spaced (single spaced for indented material, notes and reference). Font size of all headings including title should be in 14, Times New Roman and text should be in 12, Times New Roman. Margins must be of 1 inch in all sides. APA format is recommended for reference.

Full papers will only be considered for conference publication on the condition that the manuscript has not been copyrighted, has not been published anywhere, and has not been submitted for publication anywhere else; to avoid conflict of interest.
